Jim’s #R50/2 received a ServiceII Major Service, new pistons , #cylinderhead rebuild with new valves and guides. As I was replacing a aged drive shaft boot, I noticed that one of the spokes in the rear wheel was broken so we replaced that, and cleaned and serviced the rear brake. #scottiesworkshop #vintagebmwmotorcycles

2023 Scottie's Motofarm Campout and Ride

Continuing our tradition of campouts/rides at Scottie’s Motofarm... this year we are having two camp/ride/BBQ events this summer!

 
Aug 18-20 

and

Sept 22-24

Scottie’s Motofarm is a sprawling 3 acre ranch 3 miles east of Murphys CA on CA Route 4. It’s about a 2.5 hour ride from San Jose by the most direct route, but feel free to spend all day getting here on California two-lanes and backroads. The Motofarm features lush lawns for camping, shade trees, a camp kitchen, toilet, shower, fire pit and electric outlets.

This year we are having the campout during the same weekend as the infamous Ironstone Concours. In addition to the multitudes of epic riding roads around this area, amazing wineries and restaurants, you can also view the car show. More info at

If you are not up for camping, there are hotels in area, such as the
Murphys Suites http://www.murphyssuites.com Also, the guest house on the grounds of Scottie’s Motofarm may be available to rent...first come, first served. Weekend Itinerary:

Friday – Show up anytime after noon and get your camp setup.
Scottie’s Workshop (the repair shop) will be open for tours and hosting beemer weenies. We will head downtown around 5pm for drinks and “dutch” dinner at The Murphys Hotel, or campers are welcomed to find their own restaurant, or camp cook their own dinner.

Saturday – Scottie’s will provide doughnuts and coffee. Group ride at 11am. And/Or participants may opt to visit the Ironstone Concours which is about a 15 minute ride from the Motofarm. Saturday night Scottie’s will provide a camp dinner and camp fire.

Sunday – Scottie’s will provide coffee and doughnuts. Pack up and ride out!
