Kevin's R27 holds a world speed record title at Bonneville on a motor originally built by Brooks Motorworks. In preparation for next season, Scottie's Workshop rebuilt the motor, including the crankshaft, timing chain/tensioner, all bearings, and a deep pan. We honed a brand new cylinder to fit a new KS R50S piston. The cylinder head was treated to new lightweight valves, springs and custom guides. A Powerdynamo ignition and charging provides accurate sparks. Transmission has had the first and second gears replaced with higher ratios from a twin making 1st and 2nd far more useful. (If you have ever ridden a single, you know first gear is like a tractor gear.) Kevin has decided to take a break from racing, so this bike is now up for sale. Even if you do not use it for racing, this would be a fun bike to ride as it looks great in Dover and, even with the hot rod modifications, Kevin says the motor is quite civilized, and starts and runs easily. Asking $23.5k offers accepted.
