Our closest customer to the shop (and frankly probably our only local customer!) is Ryan, who lives in Mountain Ranch, about 15 miles away via extremely rutted and rugged Sheep Ranch Rd. He recently brought in his lovely R60/2 for--not coincidentally--new shocks and to swap stories. He said, "About 30 years ago I tore my Achilles tendon starting this thing, rode all day with it like that." I said, "Dang! Sounds painful!!" "Yep," he said. "The sector gear locked up and I slammed right into it and felt this snap in my foot. But I wanted to go on a ride. At the end of the day, I couldn't get my cowboy boot off because my foot was so swollen. Had to go to the hospital and they cut the boot off and operated on my foot😵." #vintagebmwmotorcycles
