Without naming names, this is an example of how NOT to haul your BMW. This one was almost damaged during transit. The handlebars moved and the wheel became cocked. Luckily, it did not go down. Wrap your soft strap around lower fork triple tree on an #EarlesFork or wrap around the lower fork slider just above the fender brace on a US front end (or later). Never, ever strap a vintage BMW by its handlebars. #ScottiesWorkshop #VintageBMWMotorcycles

How to pack and ship a crankshaft
Crankshafts are made up of several parts held together by friction fitment of the parts. Granted, the parts are damn tight fit, but it is still possible to move them by dropping, slamming, or listening to excessively funky music. It is important to pack a crankshaft properly for shipment so it doesn't get out of alignment in shipment.
