In my previous post a miss labeled peters bike as an R60/2 however it’s obviously an R69S. The bike was starting OK but it just wouldn’t run when you open the throttle. We went through the basics such as checking the valve clearance timing and going through the carburetors. The ignition was spot on and the carburetors were pretty close only a couple of incorrect parts. But what was ultimately the culprit of the poor running? Customer mistakenly installed air filter upside down. ๐ Love those easy fixes. However we noted that the pushrod two properties are cracked and the rear tire is in need of replacement so will perform a top and reseal on it and replace the rear tire while the bike is in #scottiesworkshop #vintagebmwmotorcycles
