Janet’s #BMWR35 is nearing completion. This is has been a long, slow road because of the original condition of the motorcycle and the changes we decided to make to it, including show quality nickle plating in place of chrome, custom paint color (not Granada, but rather a rose-hue from Honda!) and painted and striped rims. I chose a relatively "fat" Heidenau tire which required some additional modifications to make them fit. What can you do with a heavily perforated fuel tank? Well you can cut up pieces of it and use it for parts to repair other tanks. Matt’s R50/5 is getting an gently used R60/5 motor from our parts shelves, rebuilt with new timing chain, seals and gaskets, rings and pressure sender. The only thing that kills a 247 engine is lack of oil, and that is what happened in this case.
