1968 R60/2 Restoration Project

A new project just rolled into the Workshop: this matching numbers 1968 or 1969 R60/2.  Here it is parked in front of Scottie's 1988 Dinan M5.  It's not as forlorn as you might think; the body work has already been removed for repairs.

The owner desires a restoration that he can ride.  In this case, we are going to begin by dismantling the bike and determine the health of the major components: engine block and crank; transmission; pistons & cylinders; and heads.

Once the health of those components are verified, they will be rebuilt and restored. At the same time the hardware will go in for plating, and the frame, swing arms and brackets will be painted.  The color is yet to be determined.  Check back!  Exciting times ahead for this old girl.
