Narakorn's R11

Narakorn's R11

Narakorn from Thailand purchased the R11 that we had for sale a while back. We are going to give this bike a full mechanical treatment to transform it into a fun rider before shipping it to its new home halfway round the world. On the list is a full chassis service, new carburetor, new seat cover, new rear brake linings, new handlebar controls, and more. Stay tuned for updates to this fun project!

Sold: 1964 BMW R60/2

Lovely patina on this sweet R60/2 from a long-time owner, great service history, and bar end mirrors. Matching engine and chassis VIN 625795.

This very complete R60/2 has been ridden and maintained by the same owner for more than 30 years when he purchased it with 6,000 miles. It now has approximately 60k. The motor and final drive were rebuilt in 1989 by the esteemed Joe Groeger of Redwood City, which included a crank and slinger service, balancing and 1st over bore. A few years later, around 1990, the heads were rebuilt. The tank and headlamp nacelle have been painted. The rear fender is new. This bike is a runner, although it could use a some attention to new cables, brake overhaul, and perhaps fresher tires (although the current ones are usable). Comes with owners manual, took kit, spare keys, and clean CA title. This bike can be viewed at Scottie's Workshop.

This motorcycle is being sold by its private owner and can be viewed at Scottie's Workshop in Santa Clara. Asking $12500. Offers welcomed.

Wes' R60/2 with Ural Sidecar restoration project is complete!

Wes' R60/2 with Ural sidecar restoration is complete!  This was an extensive restoration project that also included the sidecar.  All components were restored, refurbished or improved. The chassis was straightened, bike and hack body work straightened, painted and striped. The brake system was upgraded with Vintage Brake 3000 material and the hub turned. The engine was rebuilt with a full crank rebuild.  New pistons, bores, heads , carbs, FD and transmission - all rebuilt.

I also gave Wes the 1st Place Plaque that this bike won at the 2014 European Motorcycle Show. I took the bike to the show last month and Wes was really surprised that he was able to take the bike home and a 1st place prize!

This was a very fun project and I am delighted with how the bike and side car turned out!
