For Sale: R60/2 Recent Restoration

This R60/2 has undergone a multi-year restoration (not at Scottie's). The paint is really quite nice. The motor, trans and final drive were built by Joe Groeger some decades ago and never run! Due to health reasons, the owner has decided to sell the machine, but wanted to finish it first. So he brought the bike to Scottie's to be finished and tuned. This we did... and the bike turned out quite nice. Motor is quiet and smooth, lovely paint, new tires and brakes.  Really a sweet machine!  If you are looking for a very nice R60/2, this is the one. Come see it at Scottie's Workshop. Asking $15,500. Offers accepted. Worldwide shipping available.

SOLD! 1975 R90S

If you missed out on the 1975 R90S, don't fret.  We are currently working on our next R90S build: a matching numbers 1974 model.  If you are interested in purchasing the bike, please get in touch.

* * *

Scottie's Workshop purchased this R90S at 21k miles from the original owner's son-in-law with all records and a lovely set of Krauser luggage with keys, all the factory keys, all the original manuals, original tool kit, and service records since zero miles. Documentation is included that shows it was sent over to San Jose BMW in the early 80's to receive:
  • Dual plugs and Dyna coils
  • San Jose upper and lower fork braces
  • Stainless steel brake lines
  • Lester wheels
  • Corbin seat
Scottie's Workshop stripped the bodywork off the bike and serviced the electrical system, replacing any weathered connectors and installing a new Odyssey heavy duty cranking gel battery. Also, the following work was performed:
  • Service II by Scottie's Workshop (Brakes were adjusted and bled. New fluids throughout the entire bike. New plugs, valve adjustment, carb adjustment and balance, and dynamic timing adjustment.)
  • Body work was treated to new Glasurit 55 Daytona Orange paint and stripes in our paint shop.
  • New Gustaffsen screen
  • Rebuilt gauges by Palo Alto Speedometer and a new reproduction unit gauge cluster housing and glass lenses and rubber hoods. All new cluster bulbs.
  • Extensive list of rubber items and cables was replaced.
  • New complete Keihan stainless steel exhaust system
In the year or so that I've had the bike, I've personally put about 4,500 trouble free (and thrilling!) (currently up to 26k on the bike) miles on this bike. It owns the road, gets thumbs up everywhere, goes where ever you point it, and sounds fantastic.

If you are looking for a gorgeous, low miles R90S that needs nothing, has been ridden/tuned/loved, look no further!

Recent work includes refurbishment of the Lester wheels, new tires, new wheel bearings, Nykasil liners and new rings, new steering bearings, new Dyna coils (dual coils), caps, points and condenser, wires and plugs.

Scottie's Workshop will ship worldwide.

Asking $14,950 or best offer.

For more details, contact Scottie at 408-475-BMW6.
