The -- what are we up to? -- fourth step in #exhaustthreadrepair is turning the threads. I'm turning these 2mm threads on the back side of the spindle, moving away from the headstock, with the #harrisonlathe running in reverse. Thanks to @advancedinnovationsllc for teaching this technique. #Machineshop #cylinderheadrepair #VintageBMWMotorcycles #scottiesworkshop

A common fault of the early k-bikes is a failed cooling fan. With a malfunctioning fan, the bike will overheat in traffic or climbing slow steep roads. An easy test is to try to spin the fan with your finger (ignition off!). If there is heavy drag, the fan bearings are likely seized. #kbike #k75s #k100 #k100rt #k100rs #k75 #k75rt #k75 #FlyingBrick #scottiesworkshop
